This was the most spoken about commercial in the lead up to the 2014 Super Bowl, thanks to months of speculation that George (Jason Alexander) and Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) would reunite for the first time in over a decade since the last episode of Seinfeld. In the aftermath the hype continued, with this being the most re-watched Super Bowl ad of 2014.

6. Radioshack “The Phone Call”
Who doesn’t love a company that can poke some fun at themselves? In this commercial we see RadioShack is self-aware of the way they are viewed but are ready to shake things up.

The Hyundai Genesis commercial “Dad’s Sixth Sense” may not be as fandangle as others, but it is a fun, memorable and quirky advertisement worth mentioning.

5 Worst 2014 Superbowl Ads
1. Subway “Fritos Chicken Enchilada”
There’s nothing essentially “wrong” with this ad from Subway, but compared to its impressive airtime buddies it definitely isn’t anything special.

Who puts the sexy in animal breeding and pickup trucks? Probably not anyone, and definitely not Chevrolet, apparently. This advertisement is all kinds of bad.

This commercial from Maserati is the prime example that the way your ad looks isn’t always everything. In fact, that’s really where the problem lies. While a lot of effort was put into the production to make sure the look and feel was stunning, the fact that it was for a luxury Italian car brand left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. Not to mention that it was shot in a similar style to Beasts of the Southern Wild (including having the same main actress Quvenzhane Wallis feature), which really seems to cheapen the importance of the film’s message.

Honorable Mention
Who says the commercial has to actually feature during the Super Bowl to be one of the bests this year? This “Non Super Bowl” ad for Newcastle Brown Ale is funny in a self-deprecating way, and features Anna Kendrick – practically perfect!
