Finger Licking Failure
Everyone loves a double entendre, though there are times when its levels of appropriateness can be questioned.
Queue this Tweet on Friday from every one’s finger licking favourite (see what I did there?).
Firstly, #NSFW is reserved for actual ‘don’t look at this at work if you value a monthly pay cheque’. It’s just not on Colonel Sanders – get your lieutenants in order. If your brand is not cheeky by nature, hold fire on the innuendo – no one likes an awkward situation.
Secondly, did no one, not one person think that this just might backfire? Because every one in the Twittersphere did… and then like a plume of feathers disappearing into a vat of hot oil, it was gone.
We are very sorry for our earlier tweet on H&S – we didn’t mean to offend and removed it when we realised we’d made an error in judgment.

I think this post is done now – it’s plucked.
